Experience
Mohd Zaid Ibrahim is the Senior Partner and Chairman of the Partnership Council of the firm. He has extensive experience in advising on a broad spectrum of legal matters encompassing corporate, administrative, constitutional, construction, financing and commercial law.

Zaid has advised clients on some of the largest privatisation and project financing work in Malaysia including the North-South Highway Project and the privatisation of the National Sewerage System. Zaid also advises clients on a broad range of regulatory matters and issues in dealing with the Federal and State Governments and their respective agencies in Malaysia. He represents and advises several public listed companies on takeovers and mergers, corporate restructuring and financing exercises as well as providing general advisory work on a wide range of commercial matters.

In the political arena, Zaid is actively involved in UMNO. He won the Kota Bharu UMNO Division Chief post in April 2001.

Zaid was conferred the Darjah Mulia Seri Melaka (DMSM) which carries the title "Datuk" by the Governor of Malacca in October 2003. Zaid is currently a Member of Parliament representing Kota Bharu which constituency seat he won in the last general election. He is also Chairman of the Pro-Democracy Myanmar Caucus (Malaysian Parliament) and ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Myanmar Caucus (AIPMC).

Zaid now sits in the Board of Directors of Tenaga Nasional Berhad with effect from June 2004.
